Erasmus+ Training in Brussels: Strengthening Our School’s International Perspective

April 2026. As part of the Erasmus+ programme, I had the opportunity to attend the course “School Internationalization – Building Global Competencies” in Brussels. As one of the Erasmus+ coordinators at our school, my aim was to gain new ideas and practical strategies to further develop our international profile and to bring fresh impulses into our daily school practice.

The course provided a valuable platform for exchange with teachers from various European countries. Sharing experiences and perspectives made it clear how important internationalization is in today’s education, especially in preparing students for an increasingly interconnected and globalized world. Intercultural understanding, openness, and collaboration across borders play a key role in this process. Throughout the training, I explored different approaches to building a sustainable internationalization strategy for schools. The course also offered practical insights into planning and implementing Erasmus+ projects, developing international partnerships, and integrating global topics into everyday teaching. Particularly inspiring was the strong focus on real-life application and the opportunity to reflect on how these ideas can be adapted to our own school context.

Through Erasmus+, we aim to create more opportunities for our students to experience Europe actively, whether through projects, exchanges, or collaborative learning formats with partner schools across the continent.
